Blues N Neutrals


Blue is an easy color to associate with.

Though like many, I went through a teenage black phase (which continued through college, actually), I eventually ventured into bright colors and blue became my favorite. I've since loved and worn this color in its many shades.

I love blue in its own palette from navy to teal to cerulean to peacock to baby blue. I love it in stripes, on shoes, as lapis lazuli in dangly earrings. It seems to pop up in all kinds of household items of mine, too: my water bottle, bed sheets, favorite wall print, kitchen spatulas. Even my cat's eyes are a sky blue! Maybe that's why I like him so much.

From tranquil seas to cloudless skies, the memories of sweet summer days in my youth come floating back to me in a fog of blue. My favorite clothing items over the years mostly incorporate this hue. But the second most common color in my wardrobe? A creamy cocoa brown.
